AS OF NOV. 2005:
Welcome Letter to Business Owners

The shaded green area is the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor going from Norwich, Connecticut
north to Chartlon, Massachusetsss, and from Coventry, Connecticut east to the Rhode Island border. This 695,000 acres has
a population of 300,000. It is what is called "the Last Green Valley" in the sprawling Boston-to-Washington corridor since
the region appears distinctively dark in the urban and suburban glow when viewed at night from satellites or aircraft. (National
Park Service)
